Book Launch

BACKGROUND


Katie King published her first book, Using Artificial Intelligence in Marketing, in 2019. Since then, the book has been published globally in 5 languages and was listed as a reference source in the 'Brand Strategy' section of the World Economic Forum's toolkit for corporate boards.


When the time came to publish a second book, I supported Katie with researching, writing, and editing. For this, I am credited in the Acknowledgements section of AI Strategy for Sales and Marketing, which was published globally by Kogan Page in 2022.


A great book deserves a great party to launch it into the world, so that is exactly what we gave it!


HOW I HELPED


I helped to plan, promote, and execute a London launch event for the book in partnership with Rolls-Royce’s R2 Data Labs, and sponsored by Phrasee. I assisted in securing these partnerships and lialiaisingsing with the necessary teams to bring the event to life.


The focal point of the night was a series of fireside chats featuring Katie and some of the book’s contributors, as well as some of the leading protagonists in AI and tech today. This included Chris Cudmore (Kogan Page), Caroline Gorski (Group Director of R² Data Labs and CEO of R² Factory), Lord Clement-Jones CBE (former Chair of the House of Lords Select Committee on Artificial Intelligence and current Co-Chair of the All-Party Parliamentary Group on Artificial Intelligence), Anna Brailsford (CEO of Code First Girls), and Isabel Scavetta (alumna of Code First Girls).

Following the event, I drafted and shared a press release with local and national press. The book has continued to perform well across markets and has attracted various business opportunities to our consultancy, AI in Business.
